My bags are packed, I'm ready to go...

Tomorrow we leave for Venice. I have an Italian exam at 9:00 AM that I haven't studied for (I'm over-experienced for the beginner course, but never desired to move up a level because of my good-looking teacher) and then immediately after that, we board a train heading east.

Initially the group was 8, now it has somehow grown to 16. Figuring out a place to stay was difficult, but we ended up deciding on a camp ground that has 2 person cabins for 15 euro a night. The place is called Camping Fusina if you want to look it up. The group is mainly, if not entirely, composed of Americans, which I find both good and bad. PRO The children of liberty like to hang out together, but CON sometimes this group can seem exclusive and hinders meeting people from around the globe. I'm more interested in the latter (meeting new people from all over), so right now I'm trying to maintain a careful balance between who I spend my time with. I guess like anywhere else, Arcobaleno (my dorm in Milan) can get kind of clique-ie.

But the trip is going to be a great time. We probably will get to our destination around 6:00, and then some of the gentlemen might venture to a casino located on the island. Not being a particularly strong gambler, nor a man of superfluous wealth, I'm probably either going to go and just hang out, or spend time in town. Sunday is our day of speed tourism, with an early wake up and a late departure.

We will certainly see how it all plays out, but I'm sure you will know soon enough.

As to pictures - my Flickr storage space is already at capacity, so I'm trying to figure out another way to post pictures. If anyone has some suggestions, I'm all ears. Talk to you soon.

Josh
