Free Stuff is Key

I think one of the keys to lifelong happiness is truly taking pleasure in the very special little moments that sneak their way into our busy days, frequently unnoticed. The feel of warm water and smell of fresh soap on cold, dirty hands. Struggling rays of sun, a morning chill and the smell of a new season. Three strangers at a bus stop who smile with welcome, then return to their own bubbled lives. An unexpected email from a distant friend. Food that you can afford, steps that you can take, words that you can read. These are precious gems, each and every one. Not to say I expect most people to bask in each of these moments, or take an exorbitant amount of time to stop and reflect, but appreciation can transpire in an instant. I encourage you to monitor those moments and let smiles flow freely from the brilliance of your face. There are many reasons we value life - these are just a few - but their value does not fade, and they are absolutely free. So take them in with dynamism, fervor and grace.
